Will Marine Depot price match?

Anybody know what MD's policy is on price matching? I'd like to pick up a MH lighting deal that match's reefgeek's. Plus, I need a submersible pump that MD carries but Reefgeek does not. Bottom line: I don't want to pay separate shipping for a bunch of different items.

yes, call them and order over the phone to get your price match.

Yes they will price match over the phone, but including shipping.

They will price match but you end up getting charged for shipping plus if you order in CA you get charged sales tax so really you end up paying close to the MD price.... You end up getting charged a shipping charge for the price-matched item separate from the shipping charge for the other items of your order. So much for their price matching policy.

Yes we do Price matches on items from Authorized Dealers. We price match the landed price which includes any shipping charges or any other conditions that are imposed and charged by our competitor that we are price matching. Unfortunately any price matched orders do not qualify for our free shipping promotion or any promotional discounts.

So basically you will match the price but you will add the extra taxes and charge separate shipping to bring up the matched price. So whatever the customer thinks he's saving ends up being a joke and the final price ends up close to whatever you guys are selling the item for. I'm sorry to say but I've been a long time customer of yours but this last order I made will be my last with you.

They do not match the shipping price so if the shipping is cheaper from the original seller than it will be cheaper to purchase from the original seller. I've purchased many items from other dealers because the total cost is cheaper.

We match the total price of the other sellers. That would include their shipping cost and sales tax. It would be the same price as buying it from someone else. Many venders advertise low prices, but charge much higher inflated shipping rates then Marine Depot's discounted shipping rates.

Not the case when I purchased my RO/DI unit about 2-3 months ago. I was told differently by a MD representative and ended up buying from the other vendor. I wish I saved the email with marine depots response but it doesn't matter since ultimately I got what I wanted and am happy.

I bought from this company once. They were extremely slow shipping, but not slow charging my credit card. I no longer consider them when shopping online.
