I just purchased a Maxima Clam and have him placed about 12 inches underwater 14 from the light. Will he be getting enough light?

Fixture is a Aquatinics T5X.

ATI Blue Plus
UVL Super Actinic
UVL Aquasun
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue

Tank is 65 Gal. 36x18x24.

Thanks

I think that should be just fine. Aquactinics makes a very good T-5 fixture. I've kept a crocea at pretty close to the same distance (10" under water, but the light was further from the surface) under a lesser quality fixture (4xTek T-5) and it did very well. People who don't have much knowledge of T-5s may tell you things like you don't have enough watts per gallon, but I wouldn't pay any attention to those comments.

Thanks. So far he's been there for a week and attached himself to the rock. The only movement he did was turn around a face the back of the tank.
