Will my clowns live

I have. 34 gallon and my new pair of occelaris are getting bullied by the sixline, if I have to I am trying to take him out using a trap but do you think the clowns will live if I leave him, the clowns are eating and seem to not be affected by the sixline but I really don't want it to kill them, will the sixline stress them out enought hat they will go into the safety of my anemone? They are already eating and are so healthy, if one dies I'm gunna be so sad

A sixline will have a hard time killing clownfish, unless they are very small.
I had ocellaris and sixlines together in many tanks and never a problem.

Do you have an anemone for your clowns? If not consider giving them a ceramic flowerpot. Homeless clowns are somewhat vulnerable but as soon as they have something to defend other fish will thing twice to mess with them.

They have been together for about 8 hours and there is a decent sized rbta in there, should I just go to like Home Depot and buy them a jar so they have a few options

Yes, get that cheap 4 inch ceramic flowerpot for them and place it close to the anemone. That way they have a home until they accept the anemone.

But don't buy anything fancy - the cheap simple ceramic flowerpots work best. I would have yet to find a clown that doesn't settle in them right away.

I bought the pot and turned the moonlights back on so they can see enough but it shouldn't wake the wrasse and I put the pot on the sand bed at a slight upward angle, they appear to be taking there time going into it liek there deciding to trust it or not so I'm gunna leave them alone for an hour or two than check up on them but I think it worked, thanks for everyone's help I'll post pics once they are inside

Sometimes it takes an hour some times it takes a whole day but it always worked for me. My current Percula pair and my former two Ocellaris pairs. I use flowerpots often as you can see because they provide security and require no special attention like anemones.

Ya I see but if it is too close to the glass wil that deter them, my tank isn't big enough to lay it flat on the sand bed without moving the rocks, there is room for them to get in but it's basically touching the glass part of it

If you look at ThRower's thread it seems like he used a pot in a vertical position. I've never tried it but it may have worked for him. I'll let him chime in on this.

Pretty much any angle will work. The reason to keep the opening towards the front of the tank is so you can see the fish and they can see you (they like to see what's going on as well). I preferably use pots with my spawning pairs, so another reason is to be able to see if they have eggs.

In my main (holding) tank I have the pot upright because that was the only way to put it in there. The clowns actually like it and behave in many ways as if it was an anemone.

Ok they seems to be going in it but they go in than back out but stay in longer every time, it is facing the glass and they are a pair but not spawning yet, thank you guys so much for your help it really has made a huge difference

So a little update, they like the pot but during the day barely go in it but do stay rarely close, at night usually one goes in it while the other stays out for a while but later they both go in. The sixline has stopped bothering them almost altogether but I was watching the tank for like an hour today and he gave one of them a little nip but that's expected. The weird thing is my bicolor blenny loves darting in the pot during the day swims in circles for a second than goes back out to one of his outcropping, it is hilarious to watch. Anyway is it weird the clowns don't go in it much during the day?

It really depends on the clowns. Of my pairs, pair 3 hardly ever left their pot except for feeding while pair 2 only visits it from time to time and otherwise swims around the tank. Pair 1 usually hangs out above their pot while pair 4 is a bit of a mix.

I gave pair 3 my gigantea and they behave with it like with the pot before - they ever leave it unless to snap some food and then they dart right back. They behave like their lives depend on never losing physical contact with their anemone.

I gave pair 4 my malu and while they hang out in it a lot, they have no problems leaving it and swimming around in the tank. When they return to their anemone they do it calm and without haste.

So it's a bit a personality thing and their behavior varies with the individuals and their previous experiences.
