Will my GBTA move?

I just introduced him to the tank about 2 hours ago. Since then he's moved to the back of the tank between a piece of rock and the back glass.

I sincerely hope he isn't going to stay there. So I'm hoping someone's had this same experience and can tell me what there's did or what they think.

As of this morning he's still in the same spot. I'm thinking if he stays there another 24 hours ill turn the rock around.

Mine just moved after being in the same spot for months. Now that it has moved it looks better than it ever has.

You can't make them stay where you want them, so it's generally best to leave them alone. Mine moved to the back also, but at least now they're higher so I can see them.

You can try changing your water flow direction. I'd wait at least a couple weeks at least until you mess with anything.

DO NOT flip the rock around this is the quickest way to stress BTA's or any other nem for that fact. they are moving for a reason and mine did the same thing when i first got it. You have to leave it alone when it finds a good spot it will make sure its "foot" is behind or inside of the rockwork and emerge the whole dish outward. What type of lighting and tank setup do you have ?

Hopefully anyway. The first one I had never moved, even when it split they all stayed put. Luckily it was in the front and middle of the tank.

BTA's are not high light speicies per se' and they will take some time to acclimate to those halides.
