Will my red brain get it's color back?

During my vaca I had a slight crash in my biocube probably from extreme heat. My brain did survive it but it has not recovered to its full size yet. It has been about ten days since i got the tank to its proper parameters and evryday its a little larger but it red is not as vibrant and it just looks washed out and anemic.
Will the color come back in time ? Has this happened to anyone else?
Here is a shot of when it was healthy and I will try to get a shot of it now.

Ok , here is a recent shot . It actually looks a little brighter than it actually is and you can see it is not as puffed up as much as it used to.

I can see the recession. Is that the only thing that made it? I think it looks kinda cool when it's pink. The red should come back in time.

This is the tank before the crash. The greent tree was totally black and rotting and my blue shrooms melted away a few red shrooms are still alive and a little of my already small bubble coral survived . My pagoda cup went pale, with some tissue loss it might spring back. gsps and zoanthids just starting to open again.

Button polyps , yellow polyps, candycane and ricordia seemed un affected

Maybe try and feed your brain to help it recover faster?

Also, it may take months for the color to come back. Corals don't recover that fast so you will have to be patient.

Thanks Echidna09 and mikekman for the positive feed back it makes me feel a little better. Just gave it a good feeding of mysis shrimp. We will see if that helps !

Anymore feed back or suggestions by anyone else would be apreciated.

Put it in an area of good flow, but not enough to buffer it around...also I had a problem like yours and I find target feeding helps in the recovery...good luck

You can try feeding only cyclop-eeze. Even though they are small their red coloration should bring the red colors out more vibrantly.

Echidna09, I will try to feed them some cyclopeeze but I don't see how .How do you do it? they are so tiny and its feeders have not extended since my mishap.

Squirt it at the coral with a turkey baster or pipette. Turn the pump off while you do it. It should entice the feeders to come out and then he can eat it up or just try to get some into his mouth. You might want to try something bigger for now until his feeders come out.

After you thaw out the food you're going to use...take some of the water without any food in it, just the liquid and gently squirt it into the center portion...the liquid should trigger the feeding tentacles to extend within 5 minutes or so. Once the tentacles are extended, then go ahead and gently squirt some of the pieces into the mouth. Try using smaller/finer pieces until it recovers...it's easier for the brain to digest. The brain should "puff" up during this process. Good luck, let us know how it goes ...

when I fed him mysis his feeders barely came out . I am sure as time goes on they will return to normal.
thanks again everyone ,I will keep you all posted.
