Will polyester filter pads work when medicating with copper?

Will polyester inserts work in my power filter while I am treating with copper in a hospital tank? I am setting one up now, and I'm using a Fluval 4 Plus underwater filter. It came with a box of these: http://www.amazon.com/Fluval-Plus-Polyester-Pads-4-Pack/dp/B00026Z4N0

I have read however that people use "poly filters" to remove copper and other medication from the water. Is the above media the same as what people use to remove medication? If so it obviously won't be any good to use while medicating.

Yours are OK to use. There is a specific brand of poly-filter that is designed to take out copper and other contaminants. (http://www.poly-bio-marine.com/polyfilter.html)
Be sure not to use any carbon, of course. many filter pads come with it.
