Will sixline eat lettuce nudi?

That is the question, have a small tank tied to the system that has a pretty bad case of bryopsis. The TechM method only succeeded in bleaching out a lot of zoas and acros, and I stopped before the bryopsis died.

Seems like a good place to try a lettuce nudi, but I have a sixline for pod control in there and don't want to just feed it. I imagine they are distasteful, but the sixline is a vicious killer....so....anyone tried this combination?

Thanks,
Tim

My experience is the 6-line will not bother the lettuce nudi, and the lettuce nudi had no noticable impact on bryopsis.

The only way I eradicated bryopsis (after a 6-month battle with every option I could find) was a tank tear-down and completely dry-out the rock.

I too have had issues with bryopsis. The lettuce nudi nor the sea hare nudi seemed to have any effect on it. What did work was upping the magnesium level to above 1500 over the course of a week and keeping it there for 3 or 4 weeks.

For the Tech M to work properly it takes about 3 months. I also noticed no difference with the lettuce Nudi either.

Only certain species of Elysia eat Bryopsis, and all they will do is suck the contents of the alage out and leave a empty "husk" of sorts behind.
