Will the MP40 ever have a makeover?

I was wondering if the mp40 will ever have a makeover similar to the mp10. I really like my pair of mp10's but need more flow. A pair of mp40's would be perfect but I just don't like the older design of the mp40. I've had mp40's in the past and I greatly prefer the design of the mp10 and mp60. Any future redesigns in the pipeline for the mp40's?

This was the first thing I thought of this morning when I got e-mails from just about every vendor announcing new lower pricing for Vortech pumps ($299 for the MP40). Part of me would love an updated version, but the part of me that has spent quite a bit of money on two of them in the past year doesn't want to already be outdated. :)

What is the difference in design between the MP-40 and the MP-10 and MP-60? I always thought they were essentially identical except size and flow.

IMO the only drawback to the MP-40 is sound volume. If they could develop some better bearings and maybe a stronger magnet, they would really own the market again. Similar flow in a quiet design would be awesome. I see tons of people flipping to other newer products which is why I'm still on the sidelines deciding which pump(s) to buy.

i personally like the fact that i can replace 1 piece at a time on my mp40's, if the impeller breaks i can just buy a $10 impeller vs a whole magnet with the impeller assembly that would probably be $100+, its a lot easier to clean individual pieces than it is to clean a complete assembly that can't be disassembled, and as far as sound, i run 2 MP40's and 2 MP10's and have 2 40's as backups, all 6 pumps are fairly quiet compared to other things, my thoughts are if a person has a loud MP its either not lined up properly or poorly maintained
