will these change color?

I was told these zoas lacked color due to poor lighting when they were given to me, about five heads. I have them under MH and they still look bland...am I missing something or are they just bland.

how long have you had them? They may need more time in your system. Also I think some zoas color up with more light, and others with less light. Maybe try them in different spots to see if you find the right placement once you have had them a while.

I've had them about four months. I fragged some about two months ago and put them in less light. Still kinda blah.

depending on lighting scheme and tank environments Z's and P's can morph in one's tank.

I have Paly's that colored up from the same brown as yours to a Bright Neon Green now. They look Fantastic! Although, I went from PC Lights to an AI Hydra LED.

Zoanthids will look different under different kelvin and light intensity. Zoanthids can look totally different from how they look at the pet shop and how they look in your tank, if the two above variables vary. Of course, water parameters and other factors can also affect the color of zoos.
