Will these fish combos work. Please answer

Hi I have been looking for one smaller fish to add into my 65 reef and a lot of the fish I chose I already have (family wise) so please tell me if these combos would work. THANKS

adding a purple Firefish with a 3.5months established red Firefish

Adding a blue flasher wrasse with a 4 month established mckoskers

Adding a cleaner wrasse with a 4 month established mckoskers

Adding a Pygmy cherub angel and lamarks at the same time. (HAVE BIGGER HOME FOR LAMARKS ALREADY WHEN HE OUT GROWS MY 65)

Adding chalk bass with 3 week established roral gramma

And last adding a purple dotty back with 3 week established royal gramma

do not add a pigmy to that size tank. just becuase they are small doesnt mean they dont need the room to swim.

A Cherub will be fine in a 65, A lamarks will not.

First, you would want firefish of the same color. Otherwise they will fight.

Typically wrasses should all be added at once. And 65 is a bit small for 3.

A chalk bass, royal gramma, and dottyback will all fight.

As it says above I have a 125 at work for the lamarks when he out grows it I was planning on getting one the same size as the Pygmy if I went that rout

Sometimes it isnt if they are big enough to be physially housed...but sometimes different fish just like bigger territories

Firefish (even the same type) won't tolerate each other unless they are a pair.

I would skip the cleaner wrasse, for several reasons. (1) they play an important role on the reef; (2) sometimes they won't take prepared foods or simply waste away even if they're eating; and (3) even if they do eat, they often turn into a nuisance to other fish.

Finally, as we told you in your other thread, cherubs can be little nightmares. It's not really a question of size (fish or tank), it's a matter of territory. Just be prepared to remove it.

Also if a lamarks would not work with a Pygmy cherub then would a lamarks get better with a flame angel

+1 regarding the cleaner wrasse ... Do not add a cleaner wrasse, this specie(s) shouldn't even be offered to sale in the hobby ! Period

Ya just to let all you guys know the cleaner wrasses were tank raised and eat everything but I have gone agenst them just because of all the comments of them and how they should not be up for sale, so no more cleaner wrasse haha, now my decions are down to...

1. Adding flame angel with lamarks at the same time

2. Adding Pygmy cherub with lamarks at same time

3. Adding blue flasher wrasse with 4 month established mckoskers.....

Agree. I'd also point out that, while the cherub will be fine, it might beat the crud out of everything else in there.

Flame angels are much less pugnacious, and should be fine as far as the fish go. The flipside is that they are more likely than cherubs to sample corals, zoanthids, and such.

So the flame wold be better with the lamarks and other fish but will have a better chance for eating corals..... If so then by how much more likely is it For them to nip then the cherub
