I have 2 false percs and I just got a pink tip haitian anemone. What do you think the chances of the clowns hosting are? What can I do to "encourage" them to host?
Pink Haitian, isn't that a Condy? If so it's a possiblity, it's also possible they may never show interest, and it's possible the Condy will eat them if they get too close.
There is a post somewhere here where they used a seaweed clip that looks like an orange clown to put them on the defence and they retreat to the anemone.
Generally and in nature clowns do not host in condy, or pink haitian, and they actually can eat your fish, I do have a Condy however that does host my clowns, i know its not common but mine like it. I would sugest getting a BTA for a nem because they dont move as much and when they do their sting is not as deadly to corals as the condy's is.
Yea I got a BTA and I had a bad experience with it. It moved away from the light and stayed there for a while and now it finally came out. It's about three times smaller than it was when I got it. It has no bubbles or tentacles really but it's still alive. Weird.
