i've been having some zoas that are always closed.. they werent any of my good ones... until recently.. and hen today i found this little guy on the glass.

Is this a zoa eating nudi?

edit: i changed the title because i realized 'polyps' couldve meant the tubastrea in the background.

It doesn't look exactly like any of the ones in the book I have, but it looks close enough to be a nudibranch. I would get it out if you haven't already, but make sure you use gloves and eye protection since if it has been eating zoas it could be very toxic. I read an article about a guy that squished one on the side of his tank and ended up in the hospital in a very short time.

oh he was killed shortly after the photo was taken.

I'm just wondering how many more there are in there?!?! probably a whole bunch. i pulled some tiny ones off one of my colonies last night. i'm going to do one of those lugos dips? i guess thats what i hsould do now right?

how do i make it? i have some lugols. do i use saltwater or freshwater? how much water/lugos do i put in?

will i still have them in the tank? i mean.. i found this one on my glass so they could be venturing allover the tank no?

i'll be keeping an eye out but theres so many tiny out of sight places.. you know.. how can i fight these? just keep dipping like once a week? and killing them as i see them?

this really stinks i like my zoos!!!! :(
