Will this light work?

Hey guys, I'm looking to build a 40 breeder and want a light that provides good growth for cheap.this would prob be my frag tank for sps. I have expensive radion LEDs but they don't grow coral very well at all. It seems those who are doing it big are either t5 or halide. I would obviously switch out bulbs to ati, maybe leave two stock lights. Would this light provide enough par for sps corals? I'm willing to take a 200 dollar risk to find it. This tank doesn't have to look pretty just do a good job. I can't afford the sun power at the moment, I'm just a grad student :p. I'm assuming this light will produce 30 percent less light then ati. Please lmk what u think, I'm sure it's been done, and yes it has fans. Thanks Ed. P.s I can add a row of Cree royal blue to supplement.

If your Radion doesn't grow coral well, look for some other problem. Even cheap Chinese leds can grow coral as good as MH.

I would also avoid that fixture. I bought one last year that was for a 75 tank. The controller on it was a piece of junk. It wouldn't hold time nor turn the lights on/off. The ballast overheated and warped the casing, luckily caught it before it caught fire. Not worth the money at all.

Agreed. Once you reach a threshold of PAR and spectrum (which Radions will hit), there are other issues at play.
