Will this Nano light work for Anemones please?

Interesting, hmmm
The reviews say their Anemones and corals are growing like crazy after purchasing this light ...
Thought I'd inquire for lots of opinions and hopefully someone who owns this Nano Reef Light on this Forum, before I got my credit card out ;)

I use standard Philips Daylight LED bulbs (75W & 100W equivalent) for my anemone QTs (5 & 10 gallon) and the anemones like it. Though with 5000 K it's fairly yellow promotes algae growth like crazy.

For a nano display I would go with a small Kessil (150 or 160) or even a dialed down 360 in case I want to upgrade the tank one day.

I'll give it a YES for purchase. Fluval specifically designed it for this application I'm sure you'll be fine.

Many companies designed things for specific applications that turned out to be insufficient for the task, so I really can't agree with the generality of your argument.

The only way to see if it's enough for the task is to try it out or to find people who tried it and see what their experiences are.
The other option is to go with a product that is well proven among reefers.

I agree with ThRoewer. The only way we know for sure is by using it. It seem reasonable. A lot of time, something that is reasonable on paper, end up not applicable. IMO, Fluval does not have the best reputation of having product that does what it designed to do.

The other pertinent question would be: Which species of anemone are you planning on keeping in a 10g tank?
Depending on your answer, the light may be the least of your problems.

its a terrible light for coral and anemones. I used one on my 20g long when i first built the tank and couldnt grow corals and had a BTA climb the wall of my tank to get closer to the light.

Swapped the light for a current usa light system and now my corals grow crazy and my BTA found a nice spot in the rockwork.

fluval is only really good for the freshwater light systems and fish only marine tanks.
