Hi all,
Just yesterday i did a water change and cleaned out my canister filter. My torch decided to stay withdrawn for the whole day. That same day i introduced a rbta which started to roam within minutes. It was getting close to the torch, so i moved the torch to another location a little lower (about 3 inches lower). Today it has been withdrawn, with only small tentacles exposed. Is this a response to its new spot, and will it recover?
Here is a pic with the old and new position. You can also see the torch.

Should be fine- keep out of direct current , If no improvement I would stick it in your sand bed, I find that mine is happier this way-so are all the other corals (sweeper tentacles have stun many a monti)

Mine likes the rock but I have it attached to a disk plug. I am not trying to be the tang police but a Hippo in a 29 will soon equal disaster. I am sure you already know that have plans for it.

that tang's situation is basically like putting a human in a 9'x5' cell 24 hours a day. if you are running a fish prison, then it is a good idea.

It looks like u moved it to an area that is lower so it will be getting less light which should make it come out fuller to catch more light. If the new location has more flow then it may be too much so its not fully extending to prevent getting whipped around.
