Will vinegar affect the silicone in my 220?

Im thinking about filing up the 220 and pouring 4 gls of white vinegar into the water and letting it sit for a day. The tank has a ton of coraline on it because I bought it used.

Will this hurt the silicone by any chance?

Good question, I use Vinegar to clean coraline as well & never had a problem using it. Try to ask Randy Holmes, he seems to know alot about alot.

Im surprized that no one has any input on this. I always read about people using vinegar but nothing about the affects on silicone.

okay. so how long can I keep it in a tank? Im thinking over night would be good or even two days.

Try your first idea of 4 gallons, should be fine IMO.
