As you drive up the Columbia river gorge during a cold snap you can see the cliffs on both sides painted white where the waterfalls are. And there are MANY! The mist spreads far and wide and freezes to the walls making beautiful ice sculptures.
Unfortunately, this excursion was a little rushed. I wouldve loved to have spent some time behind the lens and putting some miles under my boots
That is a spectacular spot. I've never been there in the winter but it looks spectacular. I could see how you could spend some hours trotting around there. Best to have some crampons or instep cleats though, huh?
