set up wireless bridge. Plugged in Apex...bridge set up.

Now I try to access it with 192.168.1.xx:xxx and no can do. Is that how I access it now? Where do I look next?

Thanks

Double check your configuration, especially:

- gateway
- subnet mask
- dns server
- wireless (WEP, WPA, WPA2) key
- router's SSID
- IP address (of bridge) must match first 3 octets of router

So I am supposed to be able to http://192.168.1.xx:xxx and get into it across my wireless adapter right???

And I am going off your user guide to. Few problems I have figured out, but not this.

What I am I supposed to figure out... Apex, router, wireless bridge... ??? I got in wired, but setup wireless and assumed the setup wizard after plugging in Apex would have it all straight.

Yes.

Those options would all be on your bridge. If you left DHCP enabled on the bridge setup then you can ignore all but the security key and SSID. Double check them. If you have DHCP off on the bridge, then you have to check all those options to insure they match your router.

DHCP is left on the bridge.

OK got it... SSID and security key between router wireless network and bridge wireless network the same.

Well ***??? I didn't change anything... the setting were already correct...

But now it does work. DAMN you're good!!!:lol2:

So I got a host name from dyn dns... I'll have to get acsess going at some point and e-mail.

I have comcast... any particular problems you know of with e-mail through Comcast?

Not that I'm aware of but maybe others can chime in with their experience with Comcast. I think they block port 80. Not a big deal - but you'll need to configure port forwarding if they do. Instructions in the Guide but note that in the Guide I suggest changing BOTH the internal and external port numbers. Russ is a pretty firm advocate against changing the internal port number if you don't have to. Just keep that in mind.

You'll have to research what email port to use (587??) - they probably don't accept port 25 either.
