Wnatanabi's angel

I have a trio, they haven't touched a thing. I have a few sps, lots of lps, clams, and mushrooms in with them. Some people have had problems, but I haven't.

As far as I know, being planktivores, they are a 100% reef safe.
From that. People have reported them picking on their corals before, however.

Take absolutely any species of fish being kept in a reef and someone, somewhere has had a fish of that type that has injured a coral and so they deemed it, "not reef safe". So going by the rationale that someone heard of one nipping makes no fish reef safe.

Had a pair of Wantanabies and now have a pair of Bellus angles in my mixed reef. No problems with either fish.

But as Gwynhidwy has stated, there is always an exception.

Fish are like us, even though we may look the same, we are all individuals and act differently. Same goes for fish.

In my short life time of keep fish, about 30 years now, I have come to the conclusion that if you keep your fish well fed, you have a better chance of them NOT picking on your prize corals. It's all a matter of "conditioning" them to seek you out as their food source. ;)

Yeah, my question is where did you get 90-95% from? That is funny that you gave a percentage.

I have a pair and they dont touch anything, but I have heard of other Genicanthus going crazy, but almost always they are Lamarks or Bellus. Just through my experience.

i've got a pair and the female does slurp on one large soli colony, only when it's showing it's filaments. at least that is all i've seen it nip at.
