well, no more corals for me, i have just fwlr and 2 rbta and a seabae..................its a 120g tank

right now i have 2 tunze 6060 in each rear corner , and 2 maxijet 1200 in each front corner..........im thinking to lower electric bill a tad and maybe i dont need them, to get rid of the 2 maxijets

would the 2 tunze be enough flow for the anemones ?

What happened to your corals???? If you get a maxi conversion kit and put it on the back wall you will get good circulation all the way around, provided you have space between the back wall and rock work. I have that setup and its great, but, you will have to blow off your rock manually from time to time. Keeps my frogspawn on the floor moving nicley, which is at the end of the line of the circular motion the maxi puts out if you know what I mean.

flow wasnt the issue with corals, chronic low ph due to co2 in house, and no room for calcium reactor, slow death..............im happy with just fowlr, lost about 3k of coral,so would the 2 tunze be enough ya think?

Yeah, people don't respond much to my posts either. I have had a rose BTA for a couple years in several different tanks. As long as they are swaying I think its enough current.

yes, its always closed, central air or heat, from people and animals breathing your house builds up co2

i lost about 3 k worth of corals, have fish and anemones since the beg, no problems...................other than low ph my para are always in check.................not willing to waste more money on corals or clams

You asked if you have enough flow, which means you dont think you do, so, either you do or you dont and get a cheap maxi upgrade that will make sure you do.

Most flow, lowest watts.

Either use what you have and dont worry about the electric bill or do what I told you. Two options, your choice, not twisting your arm here.

The two tunze by themselves would be rated at just over 3000gph plus you have your return so I would think that you would be more then ok. As for modding the MJ 1200's you would just be turning them into the same as the Tunze both in rated output and power consumption.

Two 6060s will be fine. I had two 6060s and my Eheim 1262 return pump powering my 125g for years of successful LPS / anemone keeping before I got more serious about SPS and added a Vortech to the mix.

i didnt ask if i have enough flow, i asked if the tunze 6060 would be enough if i removed the 2 maxijet 1200

I know, but your primary concern was saving electricity, no?

A maxijets windings can only put out so much. Its not like a 10w-1000w switching power supply, suppling what ever you need. If you put a bigger prop in there, it will turn it as fast as its windings will allow, a max set amp draw. Is it as much as 2 6060's, you would have to check thier amp ratings.

I already did that for the OP and the 6060's are rated at 11w and the MJ1200 eco's are rated at 12w.
