So I got everything up and running again. It didn't take much, I just had to close the valve tht I installed in line with the return pump about halfway. This gave the HOB overflow time to start siphoning effectively before the pump sucked to much water out. Once it started I opened the valve back up to full and everything is peachy. It's got me wondering if the Mag 7 might be a little to much pump for the current configuration though. I fear the first time the power goes out and we're not home. If I was to get the tank drilled, how long do you think I would have to wait before putting everything back in. Should be at least 24hrs for the silicone to set, right? What would I do with all of my stuff in the meantime? I guess that the rocks, corals and fish would be OK for about 36 hrs in rubbermaid. What do you guys think? As I've mentioned before, I am moving the first week of December and if I'm going to drill, that would be the time to do it. I'd also have to figure where to drill it and get the glass or acrylic cut to silicone in. Jeez, more money and just in time for the holidays.
