Wood Canopy Needed

I WTB or have built a canopy for a 12" x 24" tank. It needs to be high enough above the water line to use HQI MH lighting.

Also would 250W 14000K MH be too much light for a 20G high? This is the kit I was thinking about. Would the actinic T5s cause too much blue with the 14000K bulb?

i had a 250 on my 40 gallon and it was more than enough. unless you plan on upgrading soon i'd go with a 175. i have 2 175's on my 90 now and use the iwasaki 14000k's. it's an insanely power bulb and puts out a nice crisp white light. not the blue you see in most 15-14000k's.
just a suggestion.

The way I am reading the specs I would have to go with the double ended bulb due to size limitations. So the choices would be 150W or 250W

I had a 250 se on a 20 h, it was approx 7'' above water line. will definatly need fans on it also.

Nope It wasn't too much light I bought sankemans set-up and its not too much light, but like he said it does get hot so fans are a must.
