wooden canopy

I have a 175 watt metal halide inside a wooden canopy and the fans just blew....the canopy is getting pretty warm to the touch...is it still safe to run the light or should I not do it until i find some new fans?

I have two 175 in my wooden canopy for a 120 tank I use two 4'' ice cap fans that both blow in, I only need one in the winter.

Is it a fully enclosed canopy, or are there vents? How big of vents? You could try to run it and keep an eye on temperature.

I have most of the back cut out for ventilation but it is quite hot and the temp jumps fast without the fans...

open the front and leave it open until you get fans
