I just got him for Valentine's day! He has been in my 29 gallon for no more than half an hour! He is sitting right under my 150W metal halide.

I picked it up at Tropical Treasures, it was a valentine's day gift from my mom. The color on my camera is off, so it makes it look whiter, it really has good coloration!

Thats cool. I wish my mom was a supportive of my reefs :D I got 2 t-shirts and a bunch of candy :D

Well, this wasn't too unexpected, however I kind of with it wouldn't happen. Apperently my lighting is higher than the lfs, so he has partially hidden himself for right now. He still has good color and fully inflated tentacles, so I'm not worried.

It will adjust, but you should have acclimated him to reduce stress. Anemones don't handle stress well. I would put some window screen or something over your light.. or reduce photopoeriods.

Either way, nice Valentine score! I wish my mom still bought me stuff for v-day :p

BTW, What kind of anemone is that? Looks like an LTA?

It is an LTA. I acclimated him to the systems water parameters, however I didn't think about lighting. I ended up using an old fish net to reduce the amount of light, it seems to have worked, as he has come back out into his previous spot.

if its an LTA, then they like to bury their foot in the sand. It looks to me like its a H. Crispa, and they tend to like different locations depending on that exact specimen. I had one that anchored its foot right under a rock at the top of the sand so idk.
