I am looking at purchasing some new fish and am wondering what part of the world produces the best color and health for each of the below mentioned fish. Also which sex is more colorful? Thank you for your impute in advanced.

1) Lieutenant Tang
(Acanthurus tennenti)
2) Fowleri Tang
(Acanthurus fowleri)
3) Bellus Angelfish Pair
(Genicanthus bellus)
4) Naoko's Fairy Wrasse
(Cirrhilabrus naokoae)
5) Kuiter's Leopard Wrasse
(Macropharyngodon kuiteri)

Marshall's and Christmas Islands produce some of the most stunning variants of fish. Also a lot of morphs and hybrids come from here. We have an LCD here that when the shipment comes in, it's usually sold out in a few hours.

Although they often go hand-in-hand; IMO, the source is more important than their relative coloration. Fish from many places; like Australia, Hawaii, Christmas Island, Fiji, Tahiti, etc; have a better survival rate and are more likely to reach full color potential. Of course, the environment you provide is essential too.

MrTuskfish - Totally agree. I am wondering though if of all the top places to get these fish from, if there is one place that is better than the rest. I agree that there are many locations that provide stunning looks and health of a fish. I just figure if im going to spend the mulah I would prefer getting these fish from the best location if possible.

I Have experience with the Belus. I have had several pairs in the past. I have a pair no that I have have for 5+ months. They are full size. I picked up a 1.5" Female Belus about 2 months ago and the baby has doubled in size and is doing great.

No interaction between the tiny juvenile female and the mature pair
