I pulled out a large rock today to remove some unwanted coral that had grown on it and found this guy laying on the substrate, what the heck is it?

Looks like a "bobbitt" worm to me. You usually won't ever see the whole thing because the bigger section stays inside a rock and they stick the rest of their body out to feed. Get rid of it.
 
that does not look like a bobbit worm at all. it is almost certainly a peanut worm.

peanut worms are harmless detritivores. keep it. it is a cool part if your CUC
 
I haven't checked into RC in a while thanks for the id. I put him in a small frag tank and haven't seen him since, probably in a rock. I may try to catch him and put him back in the main tank.
