Worm Identification help

Hi Everyone
This is my first post on the forum.
I have been hunting an coral eating worm for the last few months, I think I have finally caught the culprit and would like to identify to confirm he is the one.I've had to basically dismantle my tank to get to the rock in question :(
I have been noticing gritty/sandy trails in 2 places coming from the live rock heading towards my corals and munching on them
I'm pretty sure its a form of lysidice worm.
I'll attach some pics although they are not the best.
I ended up removing the rock I thought he was in and squirted a bit of lemon juice around a few holes,he never came out but while I was washing the rock off he fell out, I notice he has quite a large round mouth on him too.I'm hoping this is not just a kind of bristle worm and I still need to find and get rid of the little coral muncher!:headwalls:

No expert here, but i'll take a guess. I'm not sure that yours is the Caribbean bearded fireworm, a known live coral eater. I believe the head of yours is the left end of the first pic in your second post. If so, it does not seem to have a frilled caruncle patch on its head. The large round end looks as if it lost its rear. Here's a good article showing the difference between regular detrivores and the one known coral eating fireworm. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-04/rs/

Hi
Thanks for your input
The left hand end is actually the rear of the worm and the right hand end is definitely his mouth, there are 2 redish dots on the left end which are his eyes,it's just hard to make out in the pic.so I'm guessing it's not the worm you are talking about.

The pics I have uploaded are the entire worm,i'm thinking he has contracted due to the lemon juice so he doesn't look long and wormy like.

YAY :) I got him
After finding another gritty tube heading up to my frogspawn I decided to pull the rock out and break it up without ruining it too much and voila I got him.
When I pulled him from the rock with tweezers he was around 6" long
I just hope that is the only one in the tank
I'm thinking the initial worm I was asking about is just some kind of bristle worm and wasn't doing any damage

That guy you just attached looks like an eucinid. There are usually more than one and trust me they're not fun to have..

Yeah he's in the genisus of eunicidae worms.
I'm hoping i only have the one and no more.
I didnt have any trouble up until i added a few extra pieces of LR to the tank a few months ago,so he obviously was hitchiking on one of those few extra pieces
I had no signs of him prior to adding the extra rock and i have my fingers crossed he is the only one

This is definitely a eunice but it not the same worm as the one in your first few posts.

Caught another one!

Caught another one!

I caught another one :/
He was in a rock I had a suspicion he was in and moved to the sump, after a few weeks I moved it back into the tank only to find a gritty tube coming from the rock the next morning.
So I removed the rock and busted it up to find him :)
I ended up breaking him into 3 pieces and was amazing to see that all three pieces were still moving 5 hours later
I'm hoping that's the last of them,I only ever saw two tubes over the months and have caught both of those occupants so fingers crossed I have ridded the tank of them.
He wasn't as big as the first Eunice I caught, god damn hitchhikers :sad2:

Grrrrrrr!

Grrrrrrr!

:mad2: Yet again, caught me another Eunice worm
Pics not the best but you can just make him out
I actually found this one in one of the extra pieces of rock I bought that I'm guessing the little buggers may have come along with and how they entered my tank
