has anyone ever found bristle worms under their clam. It looked like they were maybe eating at the foot.???? anynoe no how to get rid of the worms i have a coris wrasse
I have a ton of Bristle Worms in my tank. They've never bothered anything including my clam. I've seen some kind of trap they sell at LFS' around. I don't know how well they work.
Coral Banded Shrimp and Arrow Crabs eat the crap out of them...I would be cautious with the "crab" though if you have corals...not sure if they would harm any...
usually the worms will only eat the clam if it is dieing. those traps suck as they take forever to even get a few and if you have worms you have 100's usually. they are good cleaning crew though. i have used a ziplock container with some slits in the top and put a piece of food inside (make sure you do it at night). if you are trying to get rid of them. but you will never get rid of them all. i wonder if flatworm exit would work on them? just a few late night suggestions.
