Worms.. SICK, how many, how to kill?

In my 27G nano tank I can always see a bristle worm. They are sick and I know they help eat leftover food, but how many is to many? Today I found an extra piece of uneaten shrimp next to my power head. Once I let it sink to the bottom, I was happy the Cleaner shrimp finally got a full meal, UNTIL 6 WORMS came out and took over. This fatty worm crawled into the little cave and all 6 were playing tug-a-war for the food. I want to flush them down the toilet but they are like slinkiies, they bounce back to their rocks fast.
How many is to many? Should I flush them? WB friends

you are probably just over feeding start feeding less and there population should self regulate.

Ditto, the multiply based on avalable food. Cut back on the food and they should stop multiplying and then disappearing as they starve or die naturally. If you start removing a large number of them you may crash your tank.
