Worried about my Anemone

My anemone has still not set in yet. It does this all the time. Is that normal ?

LTA's like little to no current and should be flipped the other way Try digging a small little hole where there is not much current (maybe under a rock or near) and put his foot in there. Hopefully he will attach to the glass on the bottom and your problem will be fixed! If not. Post more pictures with water pars and all that good stuff and we will do the best we can to get to the bottom of it! Keep us updated!

you really need to fix the white balance on your camera lol.

cant tell if it is the white balance or if that is very bleached.

no that is not normal, their mouth should be closed.

how old is this tank? what size tank and what lights do you have?

10-11 weeks, 14x14x19 tall with a cad light 30w

that is a very young tank for a LTA and I am sure about lights as I don't know much about LED's but now that it is footed give it time and try to feed it small peices of shrimp, scallops ect.

is the anemone sticky?

what are your water parameters? (numbers please) and if they varry, which ones and by how much a day?

that pic looks much better but yes it is very bleached but not doomed. given time with stable parameters, good lighting and small feedings it should come around.

BTW is that a carnation coral?

i tryed shrimp for the pass 3 days but nothing. Yes the anemone is sticky.
Ammonia 0, nitrite 0 but nitrate 40ppm.

try to get those nitrates lowered if you can.

have you tested for alk. cal. and mag.? LTA's do not like swings in alk

hold off on the feedings for a few days till it gets settled in, then try again.

lol, I got a feeling it is either a carnation or chili coral in which case they are NPS corals and very hard to keep. you will have to feed them eveyday. I haven't done alot of research with them but I know they are hard unless you have a tank setup for these types of corals.

One more thing, I wouldn't leave your powerhead off maybe just change the direction of flow so it's a little easier on the nem.
