Worst Silicone job ever!

Well, finally got the glass and silicone for sump. Got it drying now.
Was the messiest thing I've ever done.. there is silicone everywhere.. will need to take a razor blade and scrape off rogue pieces.

Had to use a larger ammount of silicone due to the fact that the glass was cut too large by 1/8th of an inch, and they couldn't take 1/8th off, smallest they could take off was 1/4" so its 1/8th of an inch too narrow so used the silicone to fill the gap...

Really shoulda done it outside, inhaled too much silicone!

Oh and in-case your wondering why the baffles near pump is wider, it is because I modeled it like the trigger systems sump/fuge, going to put foam and some egg crate on pump side so i can have the foam to catch debris and maybe a bag of carbon.

You can silicone supports flat against the glass wherever there are overflows to give it more support. Acrylic or glass will work.

Perhaps it's not necessary to make it so complicated. With some float switches, you can switch between NO and CO by flipping the float magnet. Then you don't need a relay.

BTW, what kind of pump are you using?

I'm using something like this:

The relay is there for to turn on the flashing led and to shut the pump off if reservoir gets low..
My pump is similar, its a Jebao 66gph 2.1' head pump

I think the silicone will be strong enough, i used the Momentive RTV108 which is supposed to be super strong.

I like the ATO design!

My ATO design uses a NO and NC configuration.

BTW, thank you for the eBay link you the USB pump. It's definitely safer than using a 120v pump

Getting so impatient. Out of town till the 1st but come the 1st I can get Everything I need to get tank running including RO/DI, Salt, Sand, Rock, ETC
