Worth the upgrade?

The best advise I can give you is whatever brand you buy (I have the Canon Rebel XT and love it) do some research before you spend that much on a camera. And its more than just the camera as the lense discussion has proved.... Its more so you are buying a lense system, the camera body has less of an effect on the quality of the pictures than the lenses do. I also sugest buying just the body and the kit lense to start with. Once you have a feel for the camera (and you can only do that by using it) then you will know what leneses you will want after that... and when you start buying those extra lenses, I suggest buying the best that you can afford as you will love the sharpness of the higher end lenses (once again, it is the lenses that make the difference).
