would flow make anemone hide under rock?

Decided to get a gorgeous healthy GBTA from a fellow reefer. It stuck right away to the rock, but overtime (1 day) decided it would rather be upside down on a rock. At the time of putting him in only 2x54w lights were on. I'm wondering if it's my powerheads that forced it to hide?

Most nems dont like to much flow, especially if its direct flow. Most people would probably say leave it alone and it will eventually move to get light but I would just move the rock around to where the nem is facing out and on top to get some light(even if it means ruin your aquascape)... and if it keeps moving once you've done that then either move ur powerhead or move the rock its attached to to a different location.

Just my 2 cents, but if anemones had brains I'd put BTA's on the bottom of the list. They are the only nem that I have kept that have sometimes not had the sense to crawl back into the light beofre bleaching.

i have no idea why it put its foot on the underside of the rock, but stretched out all the way around just to grab light, but i guess it works?

My new BTA has done the same thing so don't worry. Just keep them fed, keep up water quality and make sure they get light and they'll be happy campers
