would this be useful for water testing?

Ian14, Yea right? I've read its really reliable, just don't know if it will test in the parameters we need for reefing. I have a difficult time reading the alk color on the red sea coral pro test kit and really any of the color test, as I don't know should I have stopped one drop ago or did I not go enough. Want a digital read out and I've heard good things about hanna. Any advice? I'm starting to get into some sps, however i have a mixed reef. it's been up for a while but I just re-aqua scaped it this week, a much better look and added about 30 more pounds of live fiji rock. However I need to a way to read the test better, thats why i am looking at getting something digital.

Get their pocket alkalinity checker. Solves all ambiguity issues. Just make sure to clean the cuvettes of any fingerprints (I use kimwipes) and be sure no bubbles are stuck to the inside of the cuvette to throw off your readings).

I implemented these at work because 4 different aquarists will give you 4 widely different KH values when titrating by color...

wow thats is cool!

it would be nice if the made one specifically for Aquariums. there is a lot on the list that we dont need an ad a few things. we do. oh and cut the price in half and i think there is a market.

but yeah for that price you could get your self a set of pocket checkers and have lots of $$ for new corals or tasty beverages to kick back and enjoy your tank.
but its still a good idea.

what are pocket checkers? The ones I am particular interested in, would be Ca, Mg, Alk, and Nitrate, even Phos. Don't really need ammonia or nitrite. Do they make pocket checkers to test for these?
