Would this light work for my 40 breeder?

It would be the 36" 4 bulb fixture. Mainly soft and lps with some hard corals mainly monticaps. The price is so good, compared to the 6 bulb fixtures. Also the 40 breeder is not very deep. Thanks for your opinions.

That's a good price. That's still around 4 watts per gallon. I have a 40 breeder with 4 T5's. It's over driven with an icecap ballast though. The breeder is only 16" deep anyway, add sand and your getting nice and shallow.

t5 is a great way to go i have it on mine and it works great.

I have 216w t5s on a 90 gallon so thinking the 36" would be more than enough for a 40..have at least 7 diff sps..and a few of the lower light lps..so guess it all depends what you want to grow..

I agree its an awesome light, but is also $250 more.

I got 2 250w MH and two 96w pcs over my 40g breeder. You should see how fast everything grows!
