I have a simple pink stylo that I have had for 2 years. It's been through the worst and survived. Hardiest of my sps. It's currently growing very well,

I noticed as it grows larger, the bottom branches are not getting enough light and just die. Just as a consequence of growth.

There are some tips less than an inch that will just die. Should I frag knowing that or just let it be and a natural course of life.

What would u do?

I would just let it be, It is natural for the undersides to not get light and either brown out or die off. If you split it, eventually you are going to have to keep doing the same thing once both half's grow out.

Is there any way you could trim it to get more light thru it? Kind of like pruning plants to prevent the bottoms from becoming nothing but sticks.

The issue is the middle section is growing wider and faster than the bottom branches.

I like having to deal with this type of natural die off rather than rtn or stn.

Do think fragging sps increases or decreases growth? This is similiar to conversations on zoas. Some people think that fragging zoas increases growth but others feel to leave it alone.

Sps in a closed system like ours are better off being fragged once in a while as long as it is healthy. Take into account for different types though. Most can be fragged often and some shouldn't be depending on their growth rate. I would take the simmilar approcah for Zoas.
