I put a regal angel on hold at the fish store its about 1 1/2 inches and it is already eathing frozen foods and is a very nice looking fish. Butttt the tank that it would go into in my 75g mixed reef. It has a clam thats about 6-7 inches. What are the chances that the angel would mess with it? I have read that its hit or miss bu wondering if anyone keeps these angels without them messing with their clams.

All pygmy angels I have owned ended up going after my clams. My only experience with larger angel species was a juvenile emperor in my LPS/softy tank. No problems but I didn't have clams in that tank.

I had a regal with clams no issues and usually the lager angel species that are juveniles are better apt not to munch on corals imo
