wow 3 days have past and zero posts!?

^ i wish i had your knowledge on this hobby, i could really use it to find out why my sps doing so good right now, but lps are struggling

If it were the other way around, I would blame the lps for spitting chemicals to discourage competition: they're good at that. But if your sps are doing better than the lps---and granted they're doing very well on an absolute scale, I'd say the light is probably better for the sps and the lps might want to be just a little lower in the tank...granted they are in the SAME light. i'd also be careful to put the lps where their water flows out without flowing across the lps.

I even did icp test on my tank just for that and only thing off scale is my system tested low on iodine.

Magnifying glass to spot pests on the sps? Red bug being one of the culprits. Google 'red bug sps' to see what it looks like.

On my DT ive noticed over time that my LPS slow growing or worse if not fed a couple times a month, and once a week really made them inflate big time, light does not give all the necessary energy, they need external food occasionally too unlike all my SPS that need nothing extra.
