Wow Another AEFW Thread Sorry

I have noticed AEFW bite marks like many other people here on the board. Maybe it is a time of year thing.

I have some revive. I was also looking for Fluke Tabs and it appears that they have been discontinued? What is the consensus on the best replacement for fluke tabs?

I have some clout from my FW days, will "Clout" kill AEFW? Should I try and dip an expendable acro in the Clout and see what happens?

If I take all my acros out, and dip them in revive, and keep them in a QT tank, will that be enough?

Say I take them all out, and dip them every 5 days for 15 days? Maybe 10 minutes a dip?

I hear it takes ~ 15 days for eggs to hatch and ~5 days for acro-less AEFW to die.

What I plan to do is dip every week for the first 3 weeks skip the 4th week, dip the 5th and see from there if I need to dip anymore.

I would keep them on a dipping regime for more than 15 days. I have been dealing with them for quite a while now and I dip once a month because I work out of town and that is all the more often I can dip. I would think moo0o plan sounds pretty good also inspect very closely for eggs every time you dip. I went to Walgreens and purchased some metal dental picks and use them to scrape all the visible eggs off. One more thing if you have any Echinata's there is about a 99% chance that they won't survive the revive dip. Good luck I think I have just about won the battle with them.

Alright so I'm going to do the revive dips.

I'll do a month of dips every 5 days. I'm just going to frag everything so there shouldn't be any eggs. No way I can get them off my LR with breaking them to pieces.

Make sure to get every piece out of the main tank. You said you were going to frag all the corals but you need to be sure to get all the bases and encrusting parts out as well.

Yup looks like this sunday I am going to have to goto town on my tank, such a pity.

What is good for scraping acro off live rock? A screw driver?

Just did a preliminary test, and took out my lastest acro purchase. Found eggs on the base. Did a 10 minute bath in Revive, and found a bunch of flatworms. So that confirms it. So i fragged the three main branches and remounted them.

Since I Have to break everything off the live rock and remount the frags. And since the eggs are only found on dead skeleton, can I be reasonably sure that I wont leave any eggs on the frags in the QT?
