Wow it's only been a little while and my purple tang is healing tremendously!!!! His lateral lines are 50% healed and regenerating. And the hole in his head on his right side is 75% healed and closing up!!! He looks awesome...

For those of you that remember the first thread I posted of him with the HLLE which was pretty bad...here's the old link...

same here, hope you can share what you did... TIA!

The diet is the largest factor. Nori clips everyday soaked with VitaChem, Zoecon, Selcon, switching off everytime. I feed him/her this everyday, most of the time twice a day...but not large enough to overfeed him/her. He/she is fattening up very nicely! The frozen mysis shrimp that I use is soaked in Selcon everyday daily which my purple tang loves...and the rest of the gang... I must say the diet is a tremendous factor when healing a fish with MHLLE. The LFS who I rescued this fish from was of course not paying attention to this, but that's ok...if it wasn't for that this fish may not have been recovering like it is now.
His/her lips are getting that yellow color back and the lateral lines on both sides are healing pretty quickly from the caudal region up. The hole that was once on the left side of my fish is almost completely healed...filling in with the purple color with the white little lines! It's great.
I will have to snap some pictures tomorrow and show the improvements.
Alan.

Here's is an updated picture I just took today. It's really hard to get a picture because the fish is kind of scared of the camera but Ill try later with the lights off. But here ya go...he's looking a lot better.

This pic I just took this morning right before I was about to feed him. He's actually looking at his Nori soaking in VitaChem...lol getting pretty smart about feeding time I guess!

Thanks a lot everyone! I'll snap some more shots tomorrow possibly. I think I am going to the LFS for some more Scarlet Hermits and a nice Polyp colony too!

Here's a good picture that shows how well his dorsal fin regenerated. About a month ago it was looking very weathered and beat. Now it looks great! lol (Compare to one of the older pictures from the link at the top of the page.)
