my motto, "you get what you pay for". It may be a nice option to get started. But it will have to be replaced long before quality, name brand products. JMO.

Stepup transformers are easy enough... but added cost. Ultimately, not worth it in my opinion.

In all honesty I don't see why a lot of the skimmers and other stuff we buy are as expensive as they are. They are pretty simple. With the one in the link though I would be wary. Like Brandon says it should be called "My First Skimmer."

I noticed one of the pumps had "vibration pump" on the box. Maybe that should give you a clue as to how good it is.

that may work, but it would be just as easy to hit the 220 in your breaker panel. That "converter" is only good for supporting 100 watts.

yeah the wavemaker states only 28w so its almost 4 times the capacity
flipping my breaker to 220 would change everything in the room to 220v

Plus you would probably have to change the plugs since they are different in different countries.

brandon, the koralias arent that pricey....but thats only if you get it online.....the markup in the stores are pretty pricey IMO
