Wow, new ferociously feisty Favites.

I got this specimin about 3 days ago and check out the aggression of this bad boy! The sweepers got to about a foot long. Pics:

Right in the middle of the day, the sweeper tentacles literally started streaming out, there were over 15-20 I'd say, here they are just starting to come out:

Check the size of that sweeper out!! Im lucky that Tridacna squamosa is just a juvenile and the flow is the right direction, thats the longest tentacle and it extended about another 3", the most aggressive faviid ive ever kept!

Hmm... yeah i thought it could be platygyra actually, the polyps seem more meandroid than cerioid like Favites. It was in fact sold to me as Favia which it certainly is not. I take on board your point though, i dont think the polyps are meandroid enough to be platygyra but i could very well be wrong!
