Wow what now

My girlfriend bought me a purple firefish tuesday because she knew i liked them. Well ever since he got acclimated hes been hiding in some tiny hole and not coming out. Every like hour my girlfriend would be like is he out, how about we move the rock to see if hes alive? Over and over again then i just snapped and said fine ill move the rock a little. So i did and the fish never came out(probly never will now because its so scared :[ ) then the rock formation fell about and then i had to redo everything and all my corals are closed up now. Do you think the purple firefish is going to be to stressed and die, or will never come out? Or will he live and eventually come out but not for a long time?

Turn off the lights and leave it be!!!!!!!

I'm not sure turning off the lights is a good suggestion, my corals might not like that.

Yes, he will come out... give him a few days. Firefish are very timid.

I agree with turning off the lights. It will not hurt your corals at all to let the tank go unlit for a couple of days. Even if he does not come out right away is not unusual to have any fish hide for several days. especially gobies due to their docile nature. He is just tying to get used to new surroundings. He will most likely be fine.
