Wow

Any body familiar with Pikeville Ky, Looks like this place is out in the boonies Big Time. As Stone is just north of Pikeville, That's where the tank is currently residing. As far as help Mel is going to hire people from a workforce at Stone but will need volunteers once the tank is brought back to his house. At least that's the plan as of now.

I have been to pikeville. the town is situated in an old oxbow on the river. there was a very neat hotel there I stayed in called the landmark inn. that place is WAY up in teh hills with no easy road in. Highway 80 is about the best way in From London thru Hazzard. Since it is up there watch the weather for snow. I would be up for the road trip but dont have the time.

From looking at the map, Stone is about 15 miles up a windy road. have fun with that.

Mel is from W. Virginia and seems to know the area well so no issues there. It will be a fun trip for me as i hate the city, Maybe i can find a place there. Hehehehe

Thats one heck of a road-trip... I lived in Lexington, KY (eons ago, when I graduated college) and did some computer training in Pikesville (don't remember the company that I trained - too many cob webs in that area of my brain). Pretty country up there in them hills. LOL

I am curious though - just how many people does it take to lift a 10'+ 600 gallon tank?
