Glad you like it. They really are something. Almost to good to be true so cheaply. Sorry mine are mounted upside down. The dial is tge wave speed/frequency and the it has a few wave modes, high, low, and elos (random). The maximum flow is controlled on the optional transformer.

They have a ceramic shaft . I expect it to be as reliable as any of the others. More tgan some. Ie korallia evo-piece of crap front screen always brakes causing them to run backwards. I commonly hear about replacement part orderes for vortec. At 1/4 the cost if I got 1/2 the life i would still be happy. They run quiet which leads me to believe everything is well balanced and has low friction.

I just picked up my WP-40 at Fishy Bizness!!! I am excited! I am actually hoping it doesn't create too much flow in my tank.
Fishy Bizness had two running in their display tank and you can hear the waves crashing against their overflow. They let me play with the controls and I was able to turn it down and change the settings.
Their prices were good! It was $149, but they gave me a 15% discount on fish and Catalina Water.. Yes, I could have found the WP-40 on Ebay for cheaper, but it balanced out with the discounts. I liked being able to hold and inspect the unit and knowing that if it doesn't work, I can always return it. I also don't like to wait for shipments with companies i have never bought from before. Not just that, these guys seem to be going the extra mile to keep everyone happy!
I just hope it continues!

If you have to much flow get the adjustable power unit. Its 10 and can reduce flow by up to 50%
