wrapping needlepoint plastic around my heater??

My gbta has been walking the last few days. just moved it to a new tank so im not suprised.

Ive been getting up everynight to make sure its ok. once i foubd it wrapped around the heater. i unplugged it, and it wasent heating at the time.

Today i went and got some more plastic from the fabric store, is it ok to wrap it around my heater? could it melt? will it block the heat so it doesent work?

just wrapped my tunze 6100. Im satisfied the nem is protected from that now... now for the over flow.... (and the heater) lol
