Wrasse compatibility

i was wondering how many and what type of wrasses i could put in a 220 gallon tank. the skimmer is big enough for a large bioload so i'm only interested in compatiblity...between fairy wrasses, flasher wrasses and mystery wrasses.

do all 3 coexist in a tank this size? how many of each can i have? do i have to have 1 male etc like anthias?

Mystery wrasses may be a problem with fairy and especially flasher wrasses. However flasher and fairy get along well. I suggest that you learn to socially acclimate new arrivals (in addition to QT) by getting a breeders cup that attaches to the side of the tank so that the current residents can be accustomed to new arrivals while the new arrivals are afforded protection. Some of the fairy wrasses can be VERY aggressive. In general you do not want to ever have two male fairy wrasses of the same species; you can however, have multiple females as long as you vary their sizes a bit. Fairy wrasses that have the same size and body shape can be problematical as can fairy wrasses of very similar coloration. In your size than, socially acclimating can obviate some of those problems.

Spread among two tanks, I have:

Fairy Wrasses:

Adornatus
Bathyphilus
Earlei
Johnsoni
Jordani
Katherinae
Laboutei
Lineatus
Pylei
Rhomboidalis
Pintail

Flasher Wrasses

Carpenteri
Filamentosus
Mccoskeri
Rubricaudalis

A couple of pictures of a few of mine.

I have a 300 gallon with the following. A blue sided fairy, solar, exquisite, lubbocks, filamented, mystery and a melanarus. They have been in together for several months with no compatability issues.
