it is a cirrhilabrus pylei..

Cebuan variant.

Bradley is right, they are known as the sunset wrasse.

Cebu pylei wrasses have a black spot on the dorsal fin and black margin on the tail, which the Vanuatuan ones do not.

Thanks guys....Bradley, those photos look like they came from your tank....if they were, can you give me any insight into your experiences with these fish? ie - citizenship, etc.

Yes, they are in my tank. I have 2 males and surprisingly, they get along with each other.
I have heard from others that they can be aggressive, but I have not seen this with my 2.
They get along well with all of my others.
I would take a guess here, but I keep all of my fish very well fed, Maybe why I don't see too much aggression.

they are very aggressive (my experience) and i am so envious of bradley!!

they are pretty common in my country but their aggression puts me off :(

btw bradley, 3x kwazulu fairy wrasse appeared in my country today from africa. i'll post a picture soon.

Thanks Bradley and Lemon....I just found your old thread on the forums here discussing them and their aggression issues.....not sure that I am ready to add that to my system....glad that I asked!
