hey wrasse guy and sd, i need your help along with other wrasse experts. i have an issue with my flame wrasse. here is a quick break down on tank mates before we get started
1. female flame
1. hooded
1. pyles
1. port vila,
1. pink margin
i believe that one of these fish are trying to kill the flame male, this morning i returned from vacation and my male flame looked to be kinda stressed, his body looks to be covered with mucus as well as his anal and dorsal fin faded. both anal and dorsal are kinda beat up, i have been watching the tank for about 2 hours off and on and can see no signs of aggression towards him. he eats just fine and everything any ideas on what to do? i would try a pic its just that i have a really crummy camera that i cant get pics with.

what should i do to try and save this guy?

thanks
thomas

sounds like someone is going at him..out of those i would think the port vila is probally the most aggressive..the one i had was very aggressive and that is the norm for finespotted..if he is eating that is good..a picture would be nice if you can get one

the vila was the whimp before these guys went in and he is looking much better now. so i will do my best to get the pic.

Uh, how advanced are the flame male and female as far as sexual differentiation? That is, is the male newly transitioned and the female almost transitioning?

My fine spotted was evil, he had to go. I would guess the Pyles is the culprit. you should be able to see someone picking on him.
