I stopped in a LFS today to buy a few items, but it's always a habit of mine to look at their livestock even if I have no intentions of purchasing anything :p

Anyway, I ran into a wrasse, one that I've been looking for but have given up hope on... I THINK it's a FEMALE Tri-Color/Red Headed Solon Fairy Wrasse (C. Solorensis). I asked the manager and he said he couldn't be 100% sure since their distributor now only lists either "Fairy Wrasse" or "Flasher Wrasse" and not the Latin/scientific names (he thought it was a blue-sided wrasse... which it def isn't). I pulled up a picture from Live Aquaria and he agreed that it looked to be C. Solorensis. I snapped some pics with my iPhone so I could post them here and hopefully get confirmation.

I currently have a MALE C. Solorensis - I'm thinking that getting the female would be okay and that they'd get along?

My other fish are:
Pair of Ocellaris Clowns (tank bred)
1x Diamond Goby
1x Neon Cleaner Goby
1x Flame Angel
1x One-Spot Foxface
2x Cleaner Shrimp

With future hopes of a Green Mandarin.

Here's the pics, these are the best ones I could take... The wrasse was sitting nice and happy in the front of the tank, but as soon as I started to take pictures it started swimming all over the place lol...

Looks like F solar... What are they asking $ ?

I added a F, over 3years after the M, and they get along fine!

They want $45, which seems to be about average with normal online pricing (though LA is having a sale right now), especially considering I won't be paying $30+ in shipping :p

Cool, so you think it's a Female Solarensis too? The pics I got don't do it justice, the iPhone 5's camera really kinda sucks for taking pics of fish for whatever reason :(
Snorvich suggested I use an acclimation box in the "intended purchases" thread, good idea or a waste of money?

How's the aggression of your Female C. Solorensis with your other fishes?

After QT, I do use an acclimation box...you can get a good sized one at Petco for less than $20

I have over 70 fish in my DT, more than 30 are wrasses... I see no aggression from the Solars , although the F thinks she is an Orangeback, and follows him around all day!

Oh geeze, I just saw you have a 770g monster tank. With a tank that size I'd imagine that aggression between wrasses definitely wouldn't be an issue haha. Unfortunately I have a lowly 90 gallon tank so I'm guessing that acclimation box is def the way to go. :D I've never actually used one before - Any tips? Hopefully the LFS has one for a decent price as money is tight ATM due to an upcoming, short notice, business/training trip in a couple weeks.
